Frequently Asked Questions

How does booking appointments work?

Appointments are booked online. Due to the sole provider nature of this physiotherapy practice, there is no receptionist. Although email and phone messages are responded to, the fastest way to book is through the At Ease Jane App.

At Ease Physio cancellation and no show policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. At Ease Physio requires 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows another person to book your time. Remember you can easily change appointments online in the Jane app.

Cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice will be billed for half the cost of the appointment the first time, and the full cost of the appointment thereafter. No shows will be billed for the full appointment.

Thank you for your understanding.

How many appointments should I book?

Your first visit will be 60 minutes. It is also recommended to book 2-3 follow-up appointments 2-3 weeks apart to ensure you get your preferred appointment times. You can choose the length of your follow-ups, and recommendations for follow-up length can be given at your first visit.

What type of physiotherapy services will my appointment include?

At your appointment, your treatment plan will be customized to you, including the range of services you will benefit from most and those you prefer. If you have found a specific treatment helpful in the past, please let us know!

Does At Ease Physio offer a free consultation?

Yes, a complimentary 10-minute phone or video consultation can be booked in Jane App. This consultation allows you to speak with Susannah, discuss your goals, and learn more about the treatment approach.

Yes, ICBC direct billing is offered. Twenty-five physiotherapy sessions are pre-authorized for ICBC customers within the first
12 weeks from the date of their crash. There is a user fee of $12 per visit payable at the time of your appointment. All reports and updates are able to be completed free of charge. It is important to note that ICBC does not cover no-shows or late cancellations – these are the responsibility of the patient.

Does At Ease accept Worksafe BC coverage?

No, At Ease does not have a contract with Worksafe BC and cannot provide services to those with active Worksafe claims. At Ease is happy to refer you elsewhere and can serve you once Worksafe claims are settled.

Will At Ease work together with my other providers?

At Ease, Physiotherapy collaborates with many other local healthcare providers, including doctors, naturopaths, neuro optometrists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and more! In complex cases, a team approach is required. Please request communication with the desired providers at your appointment.

How does a fellow healthcare provider refer a patient to At Ease?

Please share the booking link or have the patient reach out directly for a 10-minute consultation.

What is the policy on COVID-19, masks and other respiratory illnesses?

At Ease Physio does not require a mask to be worn at the appointment. Masking is now optional.

Because of physiotherapy’s up-close nature, Susannah may wear a surgical mask during your appointment. An air filter will be running in the treatment room at all times. If you are unwell and have a productive cough, fever and lethargy, reschedule your appointment for another day. Your body will respond much better to physiotherapy treatment when feeling well.

There is no charge for cancellations in under 24 hours due to illness, but notice of cancellation must be received before the appointment time to avoid a no-show fee.

What should I wear to my appointment?

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Tight jeans, belts, underwire bras, belts are not recommended.
